About Our Junior High School
Winterset Junior High School offers a wide variety of exploratory courses in keyboarding, industrial technology, home economics, computer usage, human development, and life skills. Each student is a member of a homeroom or teacher/ advisor group designed to strengthen social and personal adjustments.

The junior high school environment has been established to meet the varying abilities and developmental needs of this age group. The 275 students are introduced to competitive co-curricular activities designed to stimulate their interest and develop their motor skills. Opportunities to excel in a variety of activities are available at the Junior High School.

The junior high school building was constructed in 1994.
