About Our Elementary School
The elementary building is one of the finest facilities of its kind in the state. Approximately 575 students attend the elementary school. It was completely remodeled in 1981 and is arranged to allow teachers to maximize their instructional efforts. The staff strives to provide every opportunity for maximum student achievement and to recognize and stimulate special talents in students.

The average class size of the self-contained sections at the elementary school is approximately 22 students. The classroom teachers' efforts emphasizing reading, writing, mathematics, social studies, and human development are supplemented by specialists in the areas of art, music, science, physical education, special education, gifted education, library media, and computers. Special features of the elementary school would include an everyday, all-day kindergarten and a specialized science teacher.The elementary school philosophy is based on the belief that education is a cooperative effort that requires strong support between the family, the community, and the school.
